“Radio was my favourite artist; no one can replace him,” Weasel reveals he’s focusing on a solo path

Singer Douglas Mayanja, also known as Weasel, has revealed that he’s dedicated to pursuing a solo music career. Weasel, who has endured a long battle with depression since the t loss of his singing partner, Mowzey Radio, expressed that he has now moved beyond the mourning period and is eager to continue his musical journey.

Mowzey Radio passed away in 2018 at Case Clinic in Kampala, the result of severe injuries sustained during a bar brawl.

In an interview with Spark TV, Weasel shared, “The late Radio was my favourite artist and music partner, and I don’t believe anyone else can replace him. I’ll continue to perform as a solo artist and won’t be part of any duos.”

Despite his determination to pursue a solo path, Weasel indicated that he remains open to collaborations.

“I wouldn’t mind collaborating with Kenneth Mugabe. Rema Namakula and Lydia Jazmine are also exceptional singers,” he said.

Weasel has a new song titled “More Time,” which is dedicated to lovers seeking a second chance.
