Renowned media figure Faridah Nakazibwe has finally broken her silence regarding her departure from NTV Uganda.

The news anchor, who has been with the Serena-based station since 2006, has not appeared on screen since Friday, September 27, 2023, when she last hosted her Mwasuze Mutya show. Ruth Kalibbala Bwanika has been hosting the show since Monday.

Rumours quickly circulated that she had left the station after 17 years. However, Nakazibwe had remained tight-lipped about the situation, despite her regular updates on social media.

However, this evening, Nakazibwe finally broke her silence when she commented on a post by Erias Lukwago.

Lukwago posted, saying, “A prolific and top-notch TV presenter and news anchor of our time. I wish you the best of luck in your new journey, my dear sister Faridah Nakazibwe.”

Nakazibwe responded with gratitude, saying, “Thank you, Omuloodi.”

In September, Nakazibwe graduated with a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Victoria University during its 7th graduation ceremony.

Reports suggest that she is now planning to focus on her personal businesses.
