Richard Kavuma, a 45-year-old businessman from Mpigi, is making headlines after faking his own death to test the depth of care and affection within his family and social circle. However, his stunt took an unexpected turn when none of his wives and children rushed to his home in Muduuma upon hearing the fabricated news of his demise.

Expressing his disappointment, Kavuma declared his intention to redirect his attention and care exclusively to those who rushed to his side upon hearing the news of his ‘death.’

He stated, “I am going to start enjoying my own money and travelling abroad for holidays.”

Additionally, Kavuma revealed his plan to donate a portion of his wealth to a church of his choice.

Reports indicate that Kavuma owns extensive farms in Mpigi, where he operates businesses related to poultry, food, and cattle. He also possesses maize milling factories in Natete and several hardware shops in both Kampala and Mpigi.

On a Sunday, Kavuma enlisted the help of a friend to call his wives, children, relatives, and close friends, conveying the false news of his passing. This sparked a swift response, with people hastily gathering at his residence, expecting a sombre occasion. To their surprise, they found Kavuma alive and well, ready to host a celebratory event.
