In a surprising revelation, Speaker of Parliament Anita Among has confirmed her pregnancy during a meeting with His Holiness Pope Francis.

Anita Among, who is set to celebrate her 50th birthday this November, recently travelled to Rome where she had the privilege of meeting Pope Francis once again.

A video circulating on social media captures the heartwarming moment when Among discloses her pregnancy to the Pope. With evident joy, she expresses, “I am also pregnant, I want you to bless my baby.”

In response, Pope Francis blesses her unborn child with a gentle sign of the cross on her visibly growing belly.

Notably, this marks the second encounter between Speaker Anita Among and Pope Francis within a single year.

Speaker Anita Among is married to fellow Member of Parliament Moses Hassim Magogo. The couple had a secret introduction ceremony in Bukedea, where Magogo was introduced to Among’s parents in a traditional marriage setting. Although the couple currently doesn’t have children together, these recent revelations usher in a new chapter, and we extend our best wishes to them.
