I plan to retire in December—Alien Skin

Singer Patrick Mulwana alias Alien Skin, has revealed his intention to step away from the limelight, despite his brief tenure as one of the music industry’s leading figures.

During an interview on a local TV  last night, Alien Skin disclosed his plans for retirement citing a desire to create space for emerging artists.

He expressed his belief that he has cast a long shadow over the music scene and now wishes to provide a platform for upcoming talents to flourish.

“In December of this year, my aim is to embark on retirement. It’s time for the young musicians to shine, and I don’t want to obstruct their path,” he said.

The artist has recently encountered a flurry of criticism from social media supporters of Bobi Wine and the National Unity Platform (NUP).

The storm erupted following his statements in which he expressed a desire to meet President Museveni and even made a request for a bulletproof vehicle from him.

These remarks triggered allegations of betrayal from NUP enthusiasts, who contended that they played an instrumental role in propelling Alien Skin to his current level of fame.

However, Alien Skin responded to the backlash by clarifying that his Fangone Forest Entertainment camp remains independent of any political affiliation, including the NUP. The artiste emphasized the separation between his artistic endeavours and any political associations.
