In the ongoing 2023 Netball World Cup in South Africa, the Uganda Women’s National Netball team, the She Cranes, has faced a challenging match against a strong Jamaican team, resulting in a 61-49 defeat.

Despite starting the game on a positive note, the She Cranes encountered difficulties with some misplaced passes, leading them to trail by three goals at the end of the first quarter (15-12).

Jamaica’s impeccable accuracy widened the gap further in the second quarter, leaving the She Cranes with a 17-goal deficit.

Looking ahead, the She Cranes are set to face Wales and hosts South Africa on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively, as they aim to secure their spot in the semi-finals.

The competition remains fierce as the top two teams from each group will advance to the next stage of the Netball World Cup.
