In a highly anticipated match at the ongoing 2023 Netball World Cup, the Uganda national netball team, She Cranes, has displayed tremendous effort but succumbed to defending champions New Zealand.

The game, which took place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre in South Africa this morning, began with the She Cranes keeping pace with New Zealand in the first two quarters. The first quarter ended with a narrow margin of 13-11, and they continued to show determination in the second quarter, posting a score of 25-21.

However, the third quarter proved challenging for the She Cranes, as New Zealand started to widen the lead, creating a six-goal gap. Despite their valiant efforts, the gap further extended to ten goals in the final quarter, with the Silver Ferns of New Zealand emerging victorious with a full-time score of 54-44.
