A transformative initiative, Uganda Connect, has emerged as a pivotal platform in response to President Yoweri Museveni’s directive to enhance Uganda’s presentation and promote its products in foreign markets.

This private sector-led brand and marketing drive aims to unite investors, producers, farmers, exporters, and media partners in driving the country’s export potential and global appeal.

The launch event, held at Next Media Park, showcased the active involvement of the private sector, complementing government initiatives in promoting exports and investment prospects.

Uganda Connect’s comprehensive and unified branding and marketing strategy seek to connect millions of individuals to Ugandan products and opportunities.

The first Uganda Connect Hub, located in Belgrade, Serbia, will be inaugurated by President Museveni on July 31.

Aligned with the government’s agenda, this hub focuses on seven key export products, including coffee, vanilla, cocoa, tea, beef, flowers, banana flour, fruits, and vegetables.

The collaboration between the governments of Uganda and Serbia solidifies the path for Ugandan companies to access a broader global consumer base.

Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee on Exports and Industrial Development, Odrek Rwabwogo, expressed optimism about the Trade Hub in Belgrade, recognizing it as a golden opportunity for Uganda’s progress on the global stage.

With the private sector and the government working hand in hand, Uganda Connect heralds a new era for the country, promising remarkable progress and opportunities on the international platform.
