Police in Ntungamo have arrested Moses Buyinza Isabirye, the driver of the late Apollo Nyegamehe, popularly known as Aponye.

The arrest comes as part of the police’s ongoing investigation into the tragic accident that resulted in the death of the renowned businessman.

Last week, the Land Cruiser with registration UBF 300Z, carrying Aponye along with his brother Joshua Karamuzi and the driver, collided with a stationary FUSO truck registered as UAZ 767D. The FUSO had been parked by the roadside in Itojo due to a mechanical issue. The truck driver is said to be on the run.
