In the midst of an ongoing divorce case with tycoon Michael Kasawuli, popularly known as Samona, his first wife, Nalongo Rosemary Nantume, has come out with fresh revelations about their troubled marriage.

Speaking during her recent interview, Nantume urged Samona to stop making a fuss about the two children she bore outside their marriage, as she claims to have also assisted in raising three children he fathered with other women.

She disclosed that she acquired the nickname “Nalongo” (mother of twins) not because she is the biological mother of twins, but rather due to a situation where Samona brought her another newborn child from a woman he had impregnated shortly after she had given birth to one of her own children.

“It was a challenging moment; we considered taking the baby to Sanyu Babies Home, but my mother advised me to raise the child, and I did. I breastfed him as if he were my own, and now he has grown up in the city,” she revealed.

Nantume went on to explain that her husband impregnated another woman, a student and the daughter of a fellow businessman, and they had to hide him as the police was hunting for him. She recounted how, after the young woman gave birth to twins, her father insisted on taking her abroad, leading to Nantume taking care of the one-month-old twins by breastfeeding and raising them.

Last month, Nantume expressed her decision to give up on the marriage and pursue a divorce. However, Samona’s lawyers argue that their client cannot legally divorce a woman with whom he is not officially married.

Nantume, on the other hand, asserts that their introduction ceremony at her home in Masuulita implies that they are technically married.

Last week, the High Court in Makindye ruled that Nantume should return to their marital home in Kibanga village, Mpigi district. The court also issued a restraining order against Samona and his representatives, prohibiting them from damaging any trees or plantations within the property.

Nantume is a mother of seven children, including two confirmed to be born outside of their marriage.
