In a grand and joyous affair, Robert Kayanja Junior and his longtime girlfriend Marlena Gailis, hailing from America with Latvian roots, hosted a glamorous introduction ceremony on Saturday. The event, attended by close friends and relatives, took place at the family home of Robert Kayanja Junior in Kawuku-Bunga.
Marlena looked resplendent in a reddish gomesi, a traditional Kiganda attire adorned with intricate white embroidery. Robert, on the other hand, donned a white kanzu and a stylish dark blue coat.
The ceremony was graced by distinguished individuals, including Godfrey Kirumira, the Honorary Consul of Namibia to Uganda, Grace Akullo, the former CID director, Justice Catherine Bamugemereire, Derick Nyeko Makindye East NUP MP, Pastor Apostle Lubega of the Phaneroo Ministries, and Pastor Peter Sematimba, among others.
Robert Kayanja Jr. had previously demonstrated his commitment to their relationship when he knelt down and proposed to Marlena on November 11, 2022. Following their engagement, they embarked on this lavish celebration.
The evening was further enhanced by captivating performances from renowned artists Juliana Kanyomozi and Irene Namatovu, who entertained the guests with their melodious voices.
During his speech, Pastor Robert Kayanja expressed his admiration for his son, acknowledging his remarkable qualities and his ability to carry on their family legacy. He warmly welcomed Marlena into their loving fold.
