A joint task force consisting of the Criminal Intelligence Department, Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence, and Crime Intelligence has arrested four suspects involved in the fatal shooting of Mukisa Ronnie, a 43-year-old clerk at IBC Advocates.

The arrested suspects include Karedou Robert Irama, his wife Nalwoga Brenda Cathy, Anyuse Max Geoffrey (a deserter from the UPDF and self-proclaimed bodyguard to Karedou), and Irama Vincent, a police officer assigned to Kampala Metropolitan Police North.

According to Fred Enanga, the police spokesperson, the suspects, currently held at various locations, have strong connections to the murder.

“The Joint Security task team that has actively been investigating the violent murder of city lawyer, Mukisa Ronnie, of IBC Advocates, made a breakthrough and arrested four key suspects, who were involved in the planning and killing of the lawyer,” said Enanga.

Mukisa was tragically shot and killed on May 30 at his residence in Kitiko Birongo, Ndejje Division, Makindye Sebagabo. The assailants swiftly fled the scene on a waiting motorcycle.
