Pompi (Center) addresses the press as some of the tour's sponsors look on.

Zambian gospel music sensation, Pompi, has revealed the tour dates for his “Pole Pole Tour” to promote his latest album, with Uganda being the first destination on the schedule.

The tour will showcase Pompi’s sixth studio album, titled “Pole Pole,” with a live performance scheduled for the Alive in the Park Festival on September 2, 2023. The festival will take place at the Kololo Independence Grounds in collaboration with Vine Entertainment Group (VEG).

During a virtual press conference streamed on Vine Entertainment Group’s Facebook page, Pompi announced the tour stops in Kenya, Malawi, and his home country of Zambia. The artist expressed his excitement about sharing this special project, which has been years in the making, with his fans during the tour.

Pompi said, “I am excited for the opportunity to share [the album] with you during this tour and listen to you sing along with me as we make a joyful noise. I look forward to seeing you all at the Kololo Independence Grounds on the 2nd of September.”

The artist’s performance at Alive in the Park will mark the second edition of the festival, which has been dubbed the “Pole Pole Edition.” Shadrack Kuteesa, the CEO of Vine Entertainment Group, emphasized that this year’s edition will be even more impressive as it coincides with Pompi’s tour.

“Alive in the Park is a coming together of friends and family to celebrate life and love through an exciting and engaging outdoor experience and wonderful music, and the Pole Pole Edition is going to be even bigger and better than last year’s edition by being part of Pompi’s tour,” said Kuteesa.

Tickets for the event are available on quicket.co.ug, with prices set at Shs20,000 for ordinary, Shs50,000 for VIP, and Shs100,000 for VVIP.
