City lawyer Mukisa Ronnie was shot dead last night at his home in Makindye by unidentified gunmen. The incident occurred at Kitiko Birongo, Ndejje Division, in Makindye Sebagabo.
Mukisa Ronnie, a 45-year-old lawyer employed at IBC Advocates was shot multiple times in the head, according to Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire.
Owoyesigyire stated, “After parking his vehicle, a Subaru Legacy, Mukisa proceeded to close the gate. It was during his return to the apartment that the neighbours heard gunshots.”
The assailants fled the scene on a waiting motorcycle.
“Kampala Metropolitan Police South (KMP South) and Kajjansi Police Division are actively investigating this tragic incident,” Owoyesigyire confirmed.
The lawyer’s body has been transported to the city mortuary for a postmortem examination.
This incident marks the fifth shooting within a two-week period. Previous instances include a police officer’s display of anger in Mbarara district, an episode involving a Saracen security guard in Tororo Municipality, a mistaken identity shooting by a police officer in Mukono Municipality, and a police officer taking his own life after discharging bullets into his superior’s room in Kassanda district.
