Vipers Sports Club emerged as the champions of the 2022–23 StarTimes Uganda Premier League after a resounding 5-0 victory over Busoga United at St Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.

In the thrilling final games of the season, Sports Club Villa were the frontrunners to claim the title they last held in 2004. The Jogoos held a two-point advantage over both Vipers and KCCA FC.

However, URA FC delivered a severe blow to Villa’s aspirations by defeating them 1-0 at Wankulukuku. Meanwhile, KCCA demonstrated their prowess with an impressive 5-0 triumph over the Bright Stars.
