Security guard shoots self dead in Kampala

Police in Wandegeya are investigating a suspected suicide incident involving Atuhaire Rogers, an employee of SGA Security Company. The incident occurred this morning at around 9am.

Atuhaire Rogers, who had been stationed at The Beat along Buganda Road, Nakasero III parish for the past two days, was discovered dead at his workplace. It is alleged that he took his own life by shooting himself.

The police were alerted to the incident by Okudu David, a day guard who had arrived for duty.

Upon arrival, the police made several observations. Atuhaire Rogers was found lying in a pool of blood with a visible bullet wound on his throat, which had penetrated through his head, according to the police.

Furthermore, the police explained that Atuhaire was working alongside Namumanya Mary during the night shift.

As part of the investigation process, the police recorded witness statements and recovered relevant exhibits. Additionally, six individuals have been taken in for questioning to aid in the ongoing investigations.
