Digital bikes have been introduced at Makerere University, making moving around the campus easier.

Nine stations in total, each with at least 20 bikes, have been set up at various locations inside the university grounds.

University students can download an app from the Play store that was created by the team behind the digital bikes.

The bikes can only be used by users who have a valid national ID or university ID.

Each ride costs Shs500, and the estimated travel time to your destination is 20 minutes.

Users are not required to drop off the bike at the same station where they originally picked it up. They can leave it at the nearby station for safekeeping.
