Social media users roast Ykee Benda after he shared a watch that costs Sh124k and claimed it is worth Sh11m

Singer Ykee Benda has been roasted by Twitter users after claiming that his girlfriend bought him a watch worth $3000 (about Shs11 million) on Valentine’s Day.

“She said, bruv, I like the way you handle me. She went and spent $3000 on a watch. She’s truly one of a kind. Happy Valentine’s Day, baby! I will always be on time for you,” the singer said in a tweet.

The cost of the watch, however, was rejected by tweeps, who went on a mocking rampage instead.

“It’s hard to believe that this watch costs $3,000. It’s just unbelievable,” Daniel Kibet replied to the singer’s tweet.

“Come to Majestic, we’ll give you the original of that watch for 340K, bro,” wrote Innocent Wilobo.

“3k dollars topikise nyo blad,” Media Personality Kasuku replied to Benda.

“I am not that type of guy, but let’s be honest, mini focus watches are entry-level kinds of watches, meaning they are not that expensive. From $25–$55, you get that watch. But I just wanted to put here that I feel cheated and lied to. Regardless, enjoy your Valentine’s Day gift,” another person replied in his tweet.

“$3000 is where I stopped,” wrote Timothy Kagwenza.

“However, the watch appears to be worth Shs100,000. Wait, did you write the note yourself? Did you surprise yourself?” wrote Nabuwufu.

“I love Uganda if you don’t lie small they don’t take you seriously,” wrote Diana.

“I am here trying to think that maybe he meant 300$ but still I see it’s not worth it,” the Muzuukulu replied to Benda’s tweet.

“So 44 Euros = 3000 US dollars?” Sammie Manini.

If you check Google, the watch the singer shared is a Mini Focus Watch and it costs $33.99 (about Shs124,688).
