Fire guts Kisenyi stores

Traders in Kisenyi, Kampala are in tears and counting losses after a fire razed down mills and stores.

The traders suspect that the fire broke out at around 4:00 am. The cause of the fire is yet to be known, but property worth millions has been destroyed.

The UPDF and Uganda Police Fire Department are in Kisenyi trying to extinguish the fire.

This is the second fire in a period of less than one month. Earlier this year, a fire razed down part of the market and claimed one person’s life.
