This morning at 10:17 am, a Twitter user under the handle moshallans (@kangumemoses2) posted a rant about how he has been struggling to get his passport.

In his rant, the tweep claims that he applied for an express passport, but it’s now a month and he has never received it.

He claims that while at Internal Affairs this morning, NBS TV’s news anchor Canary Mugume showed up at the offices and was able to get his passport in just three minutes.

“I applied for my express passport a month ago, not yet received but a one @CanaryMugume came in a few minutes ago made a phone call, and bypassed thousands of people waiting… nigga got his passport in 3 mins. I was counting,” reads his tweet.

However, many tweeps have responded by telling him to get “solid connections” and stop envying those that have their connections.

Meanwhile, according to the official website of the Directorate of Citizenship and Immigration Control of Uganda, it takes 2 working days for an express passport to be issued to the applicant. Regular passports take up to 10 working days.
