In football, the unveiling of new signings has become something of a competition. From music videos to white smoke, the ways in which new signings are announced have turned into an art form.
Earlier this week, the United Arab Emirates football club, Sharjah FC unveiled its 31-year-old stopper Kostas Manolas from Olympiacos.
Initially, the player was introduced as a Greek warrior, wearing the team’s flag and a shield with a lion on it, the club’s symbol.
It then had to be photographed accordingly. In a photo shoot that was conducted inside the stadium, a lion was located a short distance from the player.
During the shooting, the “king of the jungle” may have been calm, but the roar that was heard seemed to have bothered the player prompting him to almost run away.
