Former presidential candidate, Kizza Besigye has been denied bail and further remanded to Luzira Prison until July 1.
Besigye was arrested together with Lubega Mukaku on Tuesday in downtown Kampala as he protested over high commodity prices.
The arrest came barely a week after he was released from Luzira prison on charges of inciting public and unlawful assembly.
Besigye and Mukaku have been denied bail by the Buganda Road Court magistrate, Asuman Muhumuza.
He argued that the court has no evidence to the effect that they will not be re-arrested on the same charges or other offences again.
The State Attorney had asked the Magistrate to impose a Shs30 million cash bail.
