Security guard steals Shs30m after being fired from work, arrested

Police in Kamuli has arrested a private security guard who broke into the offices of Ground-breaking Ministries, located at Namwenda Road, Kamuli Municipality.

The suspect, identified as Daniel Muwandane, allegedly stole approximately Shs30m, which police say was meant for the training of pastors in the region.

According to police, Muwandane who was terminated by management was tracked down after the K9 dog was introduced to the scene and led to his home.

“They found him when he had packed his belongings and escaped to his home district in Amolatar. He was swiftly tracked down by the District Crime Intelligence team and arrested,” said police.

Police also recovered Shs27.2m from him, which was exhibited.
