State Minister for Microfinance, Haruna Kasolo has applauded the National Unity Platform party’s peaceful strategy when opposing the ruling NRM government.

While appearing on NBS TV’s Barometer talk show, Kasolo distasted Dr. Kizza Besigye’s protesting approach and admitted his liking of NUP’s diplomatic handling of issues.

“NUP handles things diplomatically rather than protesting on the streets. They really care about Ugandans, “said Kasolo.

He added, “Protests have destroyed people’s property, and in such times of high commodity prices, no one buys the idea of demonstrations.”

He urged Besigye to change his approach and stop wasting his time going on the streets.

“If a padlock is locked, even though you curse it for 20 years, it wouldn’t open. If the tactics you use have failed to work for 20 years, change them,” he said.
