Nathan Okori, the father of the late Speaker of Parliament, Jacob Oulanyah, has responded to police summons by saying investigating the poison talk is useless. According to the report filed by New Vision, Okori said that he had no details on who poisoned his son.
“I did not say so and so poisoned my son, so what are the police investigating when I did not name any suspects? The probe is useless, ” Okori said.
Earlier this week, police summoned Okori, as well as former presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi, alias Bobi Wine, Minister Chris Baryomunsi, and former Minister Godfrey Kiwanda, to explain their positions on the cause of Jacob Oulanyah’s death.
A day later, Baryomunsi addressed the media where he asked the police to act professionally.
“Summons should not be issued through the media. It’s improper to summon a father who has just lost his child. At this rate, Fred Enanga (police spokesperson) will summon the late Jacob Oulanyah. Enanga should stop being excited and shouldn’t drag me into this drama,” he said.
