Dropped Nakaseke Deputy Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Maj. John Kaddu dodged last week’s ceremony at which he was supposed to hand over the office.
In a report by a local newspaper, Kaddu, who was dropped during the recent RDCs reshuffle, was supposed to hand over to Moses Muyambi.
He vowed not to hand over the office and the official double cabin pick-up truck, citing the lack of an official sacking letter from the appointing authority, President Yoweri Museveni.
Kaddu had earlier told the local paper that he would stay away from the scheduled handover ceremony.
However, the former Nakaseke RDC, Fred Bamwine, handed over his office to Capt. Yahaya Kakooza.
While accounting for Kaddu’s absence, Bamwine said, “There are some technical issues, but they are going to be sorted out.”
