Veteran singer Eddy Yawe and Martha Mukisa are at war over misunderstandings regarding their new song, “Neteze”.
This comes after Yawe instructed YouTube to take down Mukisa’s uploaded version of the video, claiming that he fully owns the song.
Before Yawe called for the strike down, Neteze was performing well on YouTube, as it had amassed over 80,000 views by the time of its upload.
Eddy Yawe further claims to have penned down the song, and allegations have it that he wanted to be the sole beneficiary of the project.
Yawe has since uploaded the video to his personal YouTube channel, thus leaving the bummy Mukisa eating dust alongside her management.
In an interview with Galaxy FM, Norman Brain, who serves as one of Mukisa’s managers, stressed that Yawe started acting differently after the song’s audio was released.
According to Norman, the veteran singer put in place tough conditions for Martha and her team to follow.
Furthermore, Yawe refused to contribute a single coin towards the video shoot, yet he wanted top-of-the-range visuals shot at his home.
“…Yawe is not an easy chap to deal with. Selfishness runs in his blood. We kowtowed to everything he asked us, but still he toyed and played us. He wasn’t a team player from on set, setting tough terms and conditions for us which we had to follow painstakingly for both parties to benefit and have a successful project. He even refused to contribute any single coin to the video shoot,” Norman revealed.
The manager added that Yawe was not professional in his doings.
“Yawe is not professional at all. During the video shoot, he was all over Martha, touching her on her soft parts in a disrespectful manner! He wanted the artist to join him in his slaughter room after the shoot. Can you imagine? We couldn’t allow that to happen, and that could be the reason why he is sulking to date, and striking our artist’s YouTube channel,” he added.
The Black Magic CEO says they have tried to reach out to Eddy Yawe, but all in vain. On the other hand, Yawe is yet to comment on the allegations.
