NBS TV in-house disc jockey Dvj Mercy Pro is bitter with the Mbarara deejaying fraternity after an alleged display of bad blood from the latter on Saturday night.
While appearing on NBS After 5, an entertainment show he co-hosts with Douglas Lwanga, MC Kats, Sheila Gashumba, and DJ Roja, Mercy narrated his weekend experiences from Mbarara, where he had been enlisted to spin music at Signature Premium Lounge.
According to Mercy, when his turn to take over the decks came, the sound quality was distorted in what he believes was an act of beef and bad blood.
According to Douglas Lwanga, Mercy Pro’s case is not unique to him as Dj Aludah experienced a similar predicament in the East a few years back.
According to the show’s panelists, there is always bad blood between upcountry disc jockeys and those from the country’s capital, as those from the country suspect that their counterparts might pull off a much more stellar performance than they would.
Some of the dirty play is money-related, as some deejays fear that their jobs might be at risk if they cannot match their skillset up to that of the guest deejays.
Nevertheless, Mercy had a great time in Mbarara with stars such as Quex of Kachubali fame, Zex Bilangilangi, and Ray G passing by to show the Dj some support.
