Uganda Cranes left back Mustafa Kizza is in America for trials. The 22-year-old featured for New York Red Bull II against West Chester yesterday.
He has been without a club since leaving Montreal Impact last year.
Kizza parted ways with Major League Soccer side Montreal Impact after featuring in 20 games for the club. However, he was one of the 12 players let go by the club in 2021.
Before joining Montreal, Kizza played for KCCA FC, a club he joined in 2017.
Kizza has also won 16 caps for Uganda’s national team scoring four times.
If all goes well at New York Redbull, he will join Ibrahim Sekagya, the former Uganda Cranes captain and now the assistant coach at New York Redbull. Also, teenager Steven Sserwadda is playing for New York Redbull II.
