Art is one of the components of life we cannot live without. The appreciation of art is nevertheless relative, as what is good art to one man is terrible to another.
However, great art is usually categorized by the rate of appreciation from the masses. Poor art in the same breath can be judged based on widespread criticism by the masses that consume the art in question.
Sheebah Karungi at the moment must be having a psychological dilemma as what she hoped could turn out to be great art is being charred by fans on Twitter.
After releasing a Gospel Psalm at the genesis of the year, Sheebah followed it up with an Afro-Caribbean single, Nkwata Bulungi (Bailamos), an offering that she premiered to fans on valentine’s day.
What looked like an effort to boost consistency seems to have turned sour today as the ex-TNS songstress is currently trending at number one on Twitter as fans have her for lunch over allegations of a poorly done song.
The criticism came through in a barrage of tweets by disgruntled fans mocking, joking, and expressing dissatisfaction over the standard of music the songstress put out.
“After God, fear Jeff. Look at the songs Sheebah is singing. The man pressed reset button and Sheebah is back to where she started from,” a one Paul Uwase tweeted.
“But what is happening to Sheebah you people?” another tweep questioned.
Some fans took to bare knuckles and violated the songstress directly.
“If I owned any music streaming platform, I would delete Sheebah’s latest song just for her own good,” a one Aris tweeted.
The debate has been brewing on Twitter and it has been trending among the top three topics of the day. Sheebah Karungi’s camp is yet to make comment about the issue.
