“No words can describe how I miss you, my guy, may you keep flying with the angels … you always supported me unconditionally the promise you made to compose for me a song on my wedding day didn’t come to pass. It should be remembered that Radio and Weasel started out as backup vocalists for the Ugandan musician Jose Chameleone, who is also Weasel’s elder brother in a group called Leone Island. This was back in the early 2000s where Radio released his first hit song, Jenifer. They later broke away from Leone Island Crew in 2008 to form their own group called the Goodlyfe Crew, which was managed by renowned talent manager Jeff Kiwa.
The duo’s songs have been successful on both the Ugandan and East African markets starting with their breakthrough single Nakudata in 2008 on which they collaborated with singer Omulangila Suuna. The two artists, later on, released their own singles like Lwaki Onumya, Zuena, Nyambura, and Bread and Butter.
They were later on nominated for one of the United States biggest awards, the BET, and were the first EastAfrican artists to be nominated for that award.
