“We are very much aware of what is happening and over 40 people have been arrested and will soon be produced in court,” Luke Owoyesigire said.

According to Owoyesigire, police have stepped up patrols on the road but are challenged by several dark sections across the highway.

“We have a challenge of darkness on the roads that are fully utilized by criminals but we stepped up our patrols,” Owoyesigire added.

He further asked all the motorists, pedestrians that have been attacked along the Northern Bypass to report to the nearest Police stations to make it easy for police to secure information on how to track the thugs.
