The spokesman of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) secretariat, Rogers Mulindwa has said that all those opposing the government are going against God’s will because leadership comes from God.

While appearing on NBS TV yesterday, Mulindwa said that President Museveni has been able to rule Uganda for the past three decades because he has ‘favors’ from God.

Mulindwa’s comments have received mixed reactions with National Unity Platform (NUP) spokesperson Joel Ssenyonyi saying that Museveni did worse before coming to power.

“Mr. Museveni not only opposed the Government in the early 1980s but went to the bush and killed many Ugandans just so he could take power. Why was he going against God’s will?!!” said Ssenyonyi in a tweet.
