QATAR: Lionel Messi’s World Cup hotel room to be turned into ‘museum’

Lionel Messi’s hotel room at the Qatar World Cup is set to be turned into a museum following Argentina’s success in the tournament.

The University of Qatar was the home of the Argentina team for the tournament.

According to Qatar University, Argentina captain and World Cup champion Lionel Messi’s hotel room will be transformed into a little museum.

Messi’s room won’t be accessible to guests anymore. Instead, there are plans to transform the space into a small museum, with all of the Paris Saint-Germain star’s belongings maintained for the benefit of future students and tourists.

The 35-year-old inspired his national team to their first World Cup title since 1986. Messi scored twice in the final against France. He also converted a penalty in the shootout.
