YEAR-ENDER: Top six Ugandan music videos on YouTube in 2022 in terms of views

Only 12 days remain until the end of 2022, so Matooke Republic has compiled a list of local songs that Ugandans have enjoyed watching on YouTube this year.

Singer Ronald Alimpa’s song “Olusuku Lwa Cement,” is the most-watched music video on YouTube in 2022.

In case you’re unfamiliar, Ronald Alimpa is a 25-year-old aspiring singer who gained popularity after releasing the song “ABAAFUNA,” which featured Spice Diana.

Nsimbudde by Eddy Kenzo

The second song on this list, Nsimbedde by Eddy Kenzo, is a fun song that exhorts listeners to have fun instead of concentrating on their problems because our mental health is crucial.

Even though the song is only eight months old, it already has more than 2.6 million views.

Bareke Abo by Pallaso

The third song on our list, Bareke Abo by Pallaso featuring producer Hash Beats, has more than 2.6 million views.

Everyone in love or planning to spend their entire lives with their partner will enjoy the slow song’s romantic love sounds.

It was released 10 months ago.

Nkwata Bulungi (Bailamos) by Sheebah

With over 2.4 million views, “Nkwata Bulungi,” a song by Sheebah Karungi, is the fourth most-watched song in Uganda on YouTube this year.

Follow by John Blaq

Fifth is John Blaq’s “Follow,” which has amassed more than 2.4 million views in just 11 months since its release.

Ayi by Mudra feat Sheebah

The sixth most-watched music video on YouTube in 2022 is “Ayi,” a collaboration between Mudra and Sheebah. 1.9 million people have viewed the song.

Other songs on the list include David Lutalo’s “Yankutudde” (1.8 million views), Azawi’s “Majje” featuring Fik Fameica (1.7 million views), Jose Chameleone’s “Kuuma Obwesigwa” (1.6 million views), Azawi’s “Bamutute” (1.6 million views), Spice Diana’s “Siri Regular” (1.6 million views), and Grenade Official’s “Picha” featuring Pinky 1.6m, “Busy” by Marth Mukisa 1.5m, Wandiisa Ki by Rema Namakula 1.4m, “Zakayo” by King Saha 1.4m, “Malaika” by Winnie Nwagi 1.4m among others.
