Elom Agbegninou, a female passenger, was detained and arrested after it was claimed that she attempted to open the side door of her aircraft while it was at a height of 37,000 feet.
The incident took place when Southwest Flight 192 was travelling from Houston, Texas, to Columbus, Ohio.
According to reports, it all began after she got up from her seat, walked to the back of the door, and simply stood there, staring at the exit door, for several minutes.
She refused requests from flight attendants to use the restroom or go back to her seat. She then made desperate attempts to open the side door. Fortunately, she was stopped by a passenger.
The woman was given to federal agents after the pilots changed the flight plan and made an emergency landing at the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport in Arkansas.
The woman allegedly stated that “Jesus told her to fly to Ohio, and Jesus told her to open the plane door.”
