22-year-old woman gang-raped while jogging at 4:30 am in Namugongo

A 22-year-old woman was gang-raped while jogging in Namungongo, according to police. The incident happened on Sunday at around 4:30 am.

“The female jogger was attacked and gang raped by three men with pangas,” said Fred Enanga, the police spokesperson.

Enanga said that they are actively investigating the incident.

However, he advised the general public to go jogging in groups and in well-lit areas.

Also, Enanga advised runners not to use earbuds or headphones because they make it difficult to hear their surroundings.
