Former Democratic Party president-general Paul Kawanga Ssemwogerere is dead

Former Democratic Party president-general Paul Kawanga Ssemwogerere has died at the age of 90.

He passed away this morning, according to his granddaughter, Agnes Namakula.

Namakula says his grandfather passed on at his home in Rubaga.

Ssemwogerere was born on February 11, 1932, in Kalangala district.

Dr. Paul is one of the key political players in Uganda’s history under the Democratic Party.
