Oktoberfest returns this Saturday after a two-year break

In something that you don’t see too often, the sponsors of Oktoberfest Kampala 2022 and other VIPs hosted a ‘meet and mingle cocktail event at the Poolside, Sheraton Kampala Hotel on Saturday 24th September 2022.

The event, intended as an icebreaker and business-to-business platform to enable sponsor interaction, was hosted by Sheraton Kampala. Guests at the cocktail enjoyed beer from Nile Breweries, wine from Karuka Agencies, and soda and water from Pepsi, with the cocktail menu complemented by both Sheraton Kampala and Ranchers Finest.

All this was set against the plush backdrop of the Sheraton Hotel Poolside, with some fairy lights offering a surreal glam, with some sumptuous live music entertainment.

The event, which started at 5 PM and rolled leisurely into the evening, was graced by the German Ambassador to Uganda, His Excellency Matthias Schauer as well as the Belgian Ambassador to Uganda, His Excellency Rudi Veestraeten.

The retired German Ambassador to Uganda, who is also the patron of Oktoberfest Kampala, was also at the event. In attendance as well were executives from Gorillos, Brussels Airlines, JIBU Water, KCCA, Tents4U, Nile Breweries, Pepsi, Radio City, Sheraton Kampala Hotel, Radio One, STANBIC Bank, RX Radio,  The New Vision, Safe Boda, Sprint UG, Uganda German Cultural Society, and the media content company UVOTAM.

The event was also attended by singer/songwriter Madoxx Ssematimba, who will be headlining this year’s edition of Oktoberfest Kampala, alongside Myko Ouma, Mudra, Sir Aludah and the Almost Famous DJs.
