Nyege Nyege organisers apologise for poor on-site accommodation, blame service provider

The organisers of the Nyege Nyege festival have come out and apologized to revelers who were left disappointed with the accommodation.

Last evening, some revelers took to Twitter to criticize the event organizers for the poor on-site accommodation despite paying a whopping Shs3m.

Nyege Nyege organisers have responded with a statement saying they genuinely regret any inconveniences caused and they will make sure they improve for future editions.

The organisers, however, blame the service provider for failing to deliver.

“It is unfortunate that the service provider called Afro Avenue, who was contracted for on-site luxury accommodation did not deliver as promised and also sold illegitimate camping accommodation through his company that we found out on the day of the festival.”

“These actions greatly disappointed the festival and our esteemed clients,” reads the statement in part.

It adds, “A civil action will be filed against them and the festival is in the process of securing refunds.”

Nyege Nyege, an event that started in 2015, is associated with fun and music, and it is celebrated by people from all walks of life around the world.
