The death of Gen (Rtd) Elly Tumwine is attracting eulogies from friends, politicians, and top military officers.
Gen. Tumwine, 68, died this morning at Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya. He was rushed to Nairobi last week.
In a statement issued by President Yoweri Museveni, he said that Tumwine died at 5:46 am from lung cancer.
He described his fellow Bush war veteran as a dedicated and hard-working person.
Meanwhile, the army says that they will issue a statement about the burial arrangements.
