KCCA kicks off boda boda census

The Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) has kicked off a Boda Boda census to register all motorists in the central business district. The exercise started this morning at 8 a.m. It will run until August 30.

According to a statement from KCCA, The exercise is free for all riders and motorcycle owners.

The notice reads in part, “Riders should come with dully filled application forms available at the census centers, national identity card, letters from LC and Parish Internal Security Officer, and copies of the motorcycle logbooks.”

KCCA further urged Boda Boda operators to go to their respective division offices and get registered.

The notice indicates that those in the Nakawa division will go to the community hall. Those in Kawempe have several centers that include; Makerere Yellow Primary School, Kawempe Mbogo Primary School, Mpererwe C.O.U Primary School, and St.Paul Kyebando Primary School.

On the other hand, riders in the Central division will go to Bat Valley Primary School, Old Kampala Secondary School, whereas in Makindye the exercise will be carried out at Officers’ Mess, Lukuli Play Ground, and Kansanga Seed School Playground, whereas in Lubaga division, the exercise will be carried out at the division gardens.
