Kenzo, APass, and Fik Fameica set for Azawi’s African Music Concert

With just hours until the much-anticipated African Music Concert, preparations are in high gear to make sure that the first Ugandan entertainment concert of the year goes as planned.

Swangz Avenue, which is Azawi’s record label, not only partnered with one of the biggest brands in the country, Guinness, to bring the show to life, but they have also released a line-up of some of the biggest names in music that will perform alongside Azawi at the concert.

Pia Pounds.

The Black Shines Brightest influencer will have Eddy Kenzo, Pia Pounds, Karole Kasita, Zex Bilangilangi, dance hall genius A Pass, and hip-hop star Fik Fameica take to the stage at the show slated for Friday, July 22nd at the Lugogo Grounds in Kampala.

Eddy Kenzo.

Both Guinness’ involvement in the show and the line-up does not come as a surprise as the multi-talented star is not only a Guinness brand influencer for their Black Shines Brightest campaign, but she has also worked on some of the biggest collaborations with Eddy Kenzo, A Pass, and Fik Fameica, respectively.

Speaking about the concert, Guinness Uganda Brand Manager Elizabeth Mutamuliza explained that the brand’s involvement in the concert is one that the brand is most proud of and more than committed to taking on.

“Azawi is one of us at Guinness and this partnership with Guinness on the concert is just one of many that we have with the star and will continue to have even after the concert because she is not only one of our Black Shines Brightest influencers but also genuinely embodies what the campaign is all about. That’s why we have collaborated with her on projects like the Majje video, the just concluded Guinness Bright House Experience, and now the concert. This is a collaboration and partnership that we are most proud of,” said Mutamuliza.

Word on the rumour mill is that there are other surprise acts planned for the concert.

At the gate, general tickets go for Shs50k while VIP tickets go for Shs100k, with a table of eight people going for Shs2.5m.
