Pupils injured after school bus overturns in Jinja

Owen Falls Nursery school bus has been involved in an accident this morning that left several pupils injured.

According to an eyewitness, the driver of the Coaster registration number UAM 936P was driving at a high speed and the brakes failed to work, causing the vehicle to overturn on the nearby maize plantation.

The incident happened around Nakanyonyi P/S in Bugembe Town Council, Jinja City.

Reports indicate that about 14 pupils were on board and only two were critically injured together with the driver.

They were first rushed to the nearby clinics before being further transported to Jinja Main Hospital for better treatment.
