Ugandan reggae singer Anecoo Omitto drops ‘Gwenina’

Reggae singer Anecoo Omitto has been off the music scene for a while, focusing on his other projects. After a long break, the singer returned with another reggae song titled Gwenina.

The song that was produced by Rygan Ushly at Roy Studios, as the title suggests, is definitely a love song until it plays.

Gwenina, loosely translated as the One I have, gets Anecoo singing about reggae music, and in the song, he keeps on mentioning his love for reggae music and the fact that, for now, reggae music is all he’s got. The song that defines the real Anecoo is songs like Kemufunye, Otuuse, Ewaffe, and Mpandike are to go by.

In 2020, Anecoo released a song titled Openjuru, and many mistook it for a political song, but the singer came back to explain how the song was not political but rather a pan-African song.
