In today’s world, a boy child of consenting age is willing to go to stupefying lengths to provide for or woo a girl child of his liking.

This does not come as a shock, however, because the principals that guide human nature have widely delegated the responsibility for provision and leadership to the man, while the woman is predominantly on the receiving end.

However, in cases where women sacrifice or go to great lengths to provide for their spouses, it is usually shocking.

This is the case this Friday as a one Joy Turamuhawe, a popular Ugandan twitter influencer has gas-lit an uproar on gender roles after she has expressed motive to sell her car in order to bankroll her boyfriend’s master’s degree.

“I want to sell my car to pay for my boyfriend’s last semester so that he can secure his master’s degree,” she tweeted.

Through her handle, she further added that the funds that remain after paying her beau’s tuition will be used to start up a business for him as he pursues his career. In her opinion, he deserves the world.

“I guess I’ll use the balance to start a small business for him as he settles to look for a job since he wants to practice his profession. Young king deserves the world,” she added.

This sparked off an immediate uproar on the birdy app as many counselled her to tread carefully.

“It will end in Tears ask me who bought one a PS,” a one Joan Sheenah counselled.

“You can also take my king. You deserve more than one,” another jested.

However, despite the barrage of negative energy in her DMs, she is madly invested in putting her thoughts into action as she keeps brushing off all the negative energy.

“As long as it’s in my name I’ll do whatever I want with it,” she declared in the comments section.

Well, over to you. As a woman, what are the greatest financial extents you have gone to make your boyfriend or spouse’s wish or desire come true?
