Chief Justice Alfonse Owiny Dollo’s name is trending at number one on Twitter. This follows his claims about the Kabaka of Buganda at the late Speaker Jacob Oulanyah’s home in Muyenga. Some social media users have termed his statements as tribal.

In a video making the rounds on social media, Owiny Dollo condemned the demonstrations that took place in Seattle, US, where the fallen Speaker, Oulanyah, was hospitalized.

The Chief Justice said that it’s only a wicked person that fights a person fighting for his life.

He further alleged that the ‘ethic leader’ of the people that demonstrated used a presidential jet to Germany for treatment.

“Some people demonstrated in Seattle telling a man struggling for his life to go back home (Uganda), Why didn’t they demonstrate when their Ethnic leader was flown to Germany,” said Owiny Dollo.

However, this website understands that the Kabaka of Buganda, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi, travelled to Germany for treatment using KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.

The CJ’s comments have caused an extremely strong reaction of anger.

Below are some of the comments;

So the Chief Justice thinks KLM is a presidential jet? OMG! @PatriqKanyomozi Lwaki mubuzabuza Owinyi Dollo? pic.twitter.com/ldYCBsB3Jn

We have a chief justice who reasons like his head exchanged positions with the buttocks. Imagine a learned person to spew such balderdash and sadly is the country's head of judiciary. Cadre judges bankrolled by the dictator. Paid to be stupid.

Ok, Uncle @ac_owinydollo, this is uncouth, indecorous & shameful! A Chief Justice, a paragon of justice, to fan tribal sentiments? Please be decent and apologize. This is so infuriating. https://t.co/1SOy8CxvVI

The Chief Justice of a country with as many ethnic groups with a spectrum of cultural and color differences shouldn't have lashed out like that. In the preamble of our constitution, it talks about not taking us back where we were. CJ's comments take us back to KY, UPC ages. Sad! https://t.co/gk0IwgulYG

Let this be the last warning mr. Man, owiny Dollo Chief Justice, whenever you feel like romanticizing don't talk about the baganda's kabaka. The wounds inflicted upon Us by your "obotes" haven't healed yet. Watch your mouth Mr Man 😠 pic.twitter.com/hT38trRtUj

So according to chief Justice, people who demonstrated in Seattle belong to one tribe, how did he find out though, we have a problem if we still have such guys as a country.
