Nina Roz’s chalice seems to be overflowing with success this year, especially outside of the studio. The diva started off the year with an automobile upgrade from Black Market Records, her record label. She has been in a good place while interspersing her efforts with trips to the coast.

The self-acclaimed Ugandan Property has bounced back to prove why she deserves to be in her record label’s good graces with a new hit single, “Kikole”.

On “Kikole”, “Big Devi” stirs up Nina to re-visit the basics. Devi sets up Nina for an urban afro-beat mood-board with subtle nuances of ragga-dancehall.

Nina Roz breaks into smooth but solid flowing ad-libs right before dazzling the listener with escalating RnB-dancehall melodies.

The songstress invites her lover to partake of her love sacraments with her instruction to him being, “to just do it”.

“Kikole” is a series of layers that keep escalating to some sort of auditory nirvana. She compliments the consistent, subtle afrobeat instrumental with melodies of equivalent gusto before delighting herself in short bursts of dancehall energy.

This is a love song that still gives the listener groovy energy despite still highlighting the matters of the heart.

For Nina, this is a solid effort that sets her apart as a solid contender for the 2022 musical championship.
