The National Unity Platform has vowed to stick with Mityana Municipality legislator Francis Zaake until plans for a court petition are finalized.
Through his team of lawyers led by the Lord Mayor, Erias Lukwago, MP Zaake will be challenging his removal as a commissioner.
While addressing journalists yesterday, NUP Secretary-General David Lewis Rubongoya said that the party will support Zaake in court. He said the move to censure him exposes the political witchhunt of the regime.
He disclosed that they still recognize Zaake as the Commissioner and they will appoint him several times.
Rubongoya also said that the party leadership will summon Independent MP Martin Ojara Mapemduzi to explain why he introduced a motion to expel Zaake from the Parliamentary Commission.
He said they will ask Mapenduzi to explain who he was working for.
Last week, the House voted to remove Zaake from the office for offensive communication against the deputy speaker Anita Among on social media.
