Bettinah Tianah resigns from TV role, reveals next plan

Television personality, actress, model, fashionista and ‘The NTV Style project’ show host Betty Nassali known by many as Bettinah Tianah has resigned from NTV Uganda. According to the statement she shared on her official Instagram page, Bettinah has been considering her decision for a quarter of the year 2021 due to the reasons she wants to keep private.


She revealed that  she will continue with her usual roles as a content creator, influencer, model, philanthropist as the founder, CEO and founder of BT Beauty Uganda.


“Dear all, please accept this formal notice as I would like to inform you all that I am resigning . I wont be returning to TV hosting or presenting on ‘The NTV Style Project’ that airs on NTV as of this date Thursday 10th March 2022,” The statement read.
Bettinah has been hosting the fashion show on NTV Uganda for more than four years.


When she was 15 years old, Bettinah started working at NBS Television as the host of Youth Voice. She later went to NTV Uganda in 2015 and started hosting a Match-making  television show called ‘Be My Date’, replacing Anita Fabiola , and since 2017 she has been hosting a fashion show called ‘The Style Project’.
Bettinah is also an actress who acted as Rhona, a ‘bad girl’ on the Ugandan television series The Hostel in its fourth and last season.


She also hosted the red carpet event at the UNAA Convention in Washington D.C., becoming the first Ugandan to host the event. She is also a model, having signed with Creative Industries Group in 2017. She held her first Photoshoot in Paris.

About her education background Bettinah, holds a degree in Journalism from Cavendish University. She had earlier enrolled for a degree in Human Resource management at Makerere University Business school (MUBS), but dropped out to pursue a journalism career.
